Neither bright nor long
Where breaths of air
Unstalled, bring life its supposed meaning
Where sound and instinct meet a balance
And expression through movement stitches the being like an ornament
There under a turning sky under a hot roof under a fanless ceiling
Where flies and mosquitos persist indoors under mats on the floors
And geckos chase
And birds outside start to call
And buses start to roar
And kovils start to sing
And cows chew at roadside in placid wonder
There you can find the morning's light
Calling to remind you are still alive
Still employed in this ghostlike nonghostlike endeavor of biological uncertaintude
